Eat your heart out New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago . . . when it comes to traffic-jams, Nashville may have you beat!
Of course, the motorcade may have had something to do with that as Vice President Mike Pence made his way to Proclaim 18, the National Religious Broadcasters’ (NRB) International Christian Media Convention on Tuesday. Spending much of the day here, Vice President Pence encouraged hundreds of ministry leaders, saying, “Your message, your values are needed more than ever.”
The mood at this year’s convention is a reflective one as we remember the legacy of Billy Graham—possibly the greatest Christian broadcaster of all time—after his recent passing. His lifelong dedication to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ influenced a whole new generation of broadcasters, many of whom we at Douglas Shaw & Associates have the privilege of serving today.
We are so proud to partner with broadcast ministries like Revive Our Hearts with Nancy Demoss Wolgemuth, Grace to You with John MacArthur, Running to Win with Dr. Erwin Lutzer, and Haven Today with Charles Morris. Because of their excellent work, the lives of countless listeners are being changed every day.
And the impact of Christian broadcasting extends far beyond North America—the impact is truly global! Lunchtime on Wednesday provided a prime example as Far East Broadcasting Company (FEBC) hosted this year’s International Luncheon. There was hardly a dry eye in the room as the Korean Children’s Choir sang and danced for an audience of several hundred. After the performance, FEBC president Ed Cannon and FEBC South Korea’s president Dr. Billy Kim shared how their international broadcasts are reaching millions of people throughout Asia with the life-transforming power of the gospel.
Continuing a favorite annual tradition on Thursday morning, Dr. Erwin Lutzer and the team from Moody Church Media welcomed dozens of radio station managers for a breakfast devotional in the Douglas Shaw & Associates hospitality suite. In his signature style, Dr. Lutzer had the room rolling with laughter and enjoying the opportunity to fellowship together.
Beyond the incredible events and exhibits at the NRB convention, the highlight for our team is always connecting with old friends and making new ones. At booth 537, we’ve had the chance to build relationships with a number of ministry leaders and explore future possibilities for partnership.
If you haven’t dropped off your business card to win a free custom direct response audit, there’s still time. Come visit us at booth 537. We’re looking forward to seeing you!
