THERE IS SO MUCH GOOD IN THE WORLD!

Those of us involved in philanthropy are privileged to see the generosity of the human heart on a daily basis. Not everyone has this opportunity.

I’m reminded of this every time someone asks me, “Do you think my gift is really going where they say it is?” Because we share a unique perspective as fundraisers and leaders of charitable causes, we know the answer to this simple, yet crucial question.

Because we already know the ethical nature of our cause, we can spend our time asking different questions.

This issue of Donor Focus, I believe, is one of the best issues we’ve ever produced. Fully admitting my bias, I still believe this because we are seeking to answer questions like:

“How do we stay human to our donors?”

“Will donors continue to give in a time of great upheaval?”

“How do I more effectively reach those who want to give to my organization?”

It’s my hope you find some encouraging answers here!
